What will I learn in the course?

The course is divided into 57 weekly assignments.  It will take you to a level where you will be able to sit down at a piano, look at any advanced intermediate level sheet music and be able to play by reading the notes! ~smile~

Reading music is an incredible skill to learn because it allows you to play anything you want! I like to compare it to reading a book. If you know the alphabet, and have learned how to read, then you can read any book at your particular reading level! No need to memorize the book first.. just open it and read it!

In reading music, you will learn the music alphabet, and step by step, you will learn how to interpret what is on the sheet music on the piano through your fingers.. instantaneously… just like reading!

How long will it take?

It takes an average learner (total beginner), a little over a year to complete the entire course, as long as they are practicing every day. If you upgrade and have full or faster access to the lessons, have seen it take as little as 8-9 months.

You may be thinking – OH MY! That is a loooong time, but it is actually accelerated compared to traditional private lessons where it takes years longer.

A good way to describe what you will be able to do as a pianist after completing this course is that you will be able to play at a level of about 90 percent of pianists play at.

For example, you can be a church pianist, play for birthday or event parties, play for choir, accompany a vocalist, fun entertainment, and of course, for pleasure.

You can even become a
piano teacher at this level!

These are a few of th things that most pianists can do.

If you want to pursue something beyond that, I have advanced lessons available to get you to the next level.  If you want to play professionally or become a concert pianist, you will need additional training beyond the advanced lessons.

To see want to see the level of difficulty you will be able to play at in my course, you can download the following song:

Some songs are harder than this one, but this is a very good representation of a variety of notes and rhythm at an advanced intermediate level.
