Happy Mother’s Day!

Nearly 3 years ago, in 2007, I became a mother again.. to my first grand baby!  ~smile~  Yes, I am a grandmother, and loving it!

Grandma and Kaiya

It seemed like only yesterday when I held both my daughter and my granddaughter in my arms in awe of the miracle of life.

As I look back on that day, I remember sharing those special moments with my students.  It seems there is always music to share when special occasions enter our lives.

I released and dedicated Brahms Lullaby nearly three years ago when my granddaughter Kaiya was born, and I want to re-release it today to you, in honor of  Mother’s Day.

How can you not think of motherhood as you listen to this beloved and tender melody?

I have provided two downloads of this song.
One requires that you know how to read sheet music, and the other is written for those who are not quite ready to read sheet music.

Here is the link to download the Instant Play Version:

Here’s a special treat for you…. my sister spent the day with me for Mother’s Day.  My sister is a cowgirl – has been all her life!  She is recovering from an accident on a run away horse and wagon.   She is in a cast and wheelchair for a few months.  Anyway, I asked if she would be willing to sing the Brahms Lullaby for you and she agreed!  I love my sister’s voice… she is a country singer and has had quite a following throughout her life.

Here she is… a little under the weather, but still willing to do a favor for her big sister…we are night and day in personality, but love each other dearly!
