Once you start a routine of regular practice, be very careful not to let a more than three days pass by without practicing. In these beginning stages of learning how to play the piano, it is very important that you do not skip days of practice. Your progress depends on the daily practice!

However, the beauty of teaching yourself is that when your busy schedule gets in the way and you accidentally let a few day slip by without practicing, you can repeat as many lessons as you need to, as many times as you need to! If you were taking lessons with a teacher, you would have to pay for these repeat lessons. (But try not to let that happen! It can be discouraging if you keep repeating lessons!)

What can you expect out of your piano lesson experience?
You and I both play an important role for you to be successful. So, let me tell you what I can do for you, as your online teacher. I will present each lesson in the easiest way possible. I want you to learn…. not be frustrated with unfamiliar terms. I will only use musical terms that I have taught you. I will only ask you to practice songs that contain material that you already know. I will never ask you to practice a song with new notes or symbols in it without explaining it first.

I have removed the confusion of traditional lessons and I have developed each lesson as an easy progression from the previous lesson. If by chance, there is confusion, you may email me with any questions, at any time!

What can you expect from yourself?
Expect to learn at the rate you normally learn new things, but faster! These lessons are designed to accelerate your normal speed of learning. Unique sequencing and immediate application enables you to learn how to the play piano faster than other methods. However, you still need to practice. You will not be successful without practicing! Your success is in your hands.

Learning to play the piano is very challenging when you are trying to teach yourself.
Remember, you are not in a hurry to learn, yesterday you didn’t know ANYTHING about piano and today you know more than yesterday. So hang in there and enjoy learning to play! The more patient you are with yourself, the faster you will learn!
