Being on the road with my family, adjusting to RV life, and enjoying some of the most beautiful places
on earth has been a joy beyond measure. They say a picture can paint a thousand words, but even pictures can’t do this majestic beauty justice.
In a few short days, May 26-30, we viewed and hiked some of the most spectacular spots on earth.
Though I have been enjoying my family, my students are never far from my mind. (I hope you believe me, because it’s absolutely true.) So, in hopes to share with you a little bit of what we experienced, my husband and I packed up my keyboard and recording equipment and took it up on a 10,000 year old glacier….and well, the video tells the rest of the story, dedicated to you, my students:

Lisa, your playing the piano on the glacier was absolutely incredible. The pictures made me feel like I was on the trip with you all. I was glad to see Jacob on that trip with you before he got ill, looking just like any other teen.
You are always an inspiration. It was so kind of you to share with us all. I do feel like I know you personally through your heartache and pleasure. At 68 I am learning somewhat slowly, but I find it is good for keeping my arthritic fingers moving, and my heart leaps when I can recognize a melody. I purchased a simplified version of sheet music of Claire de Lune, one of my very favorites. I’d love it if sometime you could put your special twist to the learning of it. I can play the right hand but am having difficulty learning the left because the chords span so many octaves.
Many Thanks,

Hi Lisa,
Thank you for sharing your trip experience and the performance. What an idea…to perform in one of the most magnificient scenery of the world! I appreciate all the trouble you and your family had to go through to carry out this plan. Although I do no know and can’t share your personal family issues, I can empathize how this is a very difficult and distracting time. My family and I moved to California from the Midwest, Minnesota, three years ago, and we only feel settled down within this last year. Best wishes to your and your family.
Sincerely,
Katie Tu

Lisa, what beautiful scenery….I pray for you and your big move, it must be hard to have to pack up and move so far from your “home”. We are blessed to be in the area we are in, as it is three hours from the mountains and the beach. God bless you, for all you are teaching your students. I am excited about learning to play, and I know that if I practice, I will achieve personal satisfaction in my playing abilities eventually. Thanks once again, Lisa

That was inspiring and fun. I love the fact that we can interact with you in this way. And the scenery was amazing. I will go and practice now and try to smile instead of gritting my teeth……………… I want to get past lesson 5! I hope you and your family are happily settled in Missouri. Thanks for your continuing encouragement.

I thoroughly enjoyed your concert at the glacier. I just joined about a6 weeks ago, but have not been able to start the lessons, as my Wife of 28 years died a short while ago. I miss her so much, and am so depressed, I don’t want to do anything. I wish I could go to be with her. I know she is in heaven, as she and I both know Jesus. I hope I can get going on the lessons before long. Life just doesn’t seem to be worth living without her.

It amazes me how “real” a person you are. You are not just an internet character. You are genuine and I wish you and your family well. You are committed to your students but more importantly you do what is best for your family. You made my heart melt. Everything happens for a reason… All the best!

Thank you for sharing…and thank you to your family. God bless you all in all that you do, especially in the family. I have an afghan that reads ‘Home is Where the Heart Is’ given to me after a sudden move. Everything will be alright.
At 62 years I’m one of your slow learners…but persistant. So happy to have found you online and to be able to learn in this way. Also teaching my grandchildren. It’s making me young!
The photography was great…isn’t it something how much beauty we can see with these little eyes. God is great! Grandma Linda Guinan

I really enjoyed your concert from the glacier! The surroundings are incredible! I wish you and your family the best of luck on your move to Missouri. May God bless you there and give you peace about your move. I believe that anytime we do what is best for our family, it is what we should do.
I am learning to play, slowly, at 57 years old! I have to work on my practice time. I find if I don’t schedule it, it doesn’t happen and other things tend to fill in the time.
Thank you for your smiling encouragement and for sharing a bit of your life with your students.
