Setting goals gives us a great feeling of starting anew.
But if our goals aren’t created properly, we are setting ourselves up for failure right from the start.
So next time you create your piano goals, add this additional element to ensure your success. Not only do you want to write them down, look at them daily, and take deliberate action toward achieving them, but you also want to visualize them as if they have already happened. Want to play a new song on the piano? Visualize yourself playing it for someone. Want to complete a particular lesson on a certain date? Visualize yourself starting the lesson beyond the one you want to complete! Want to complete the whole course within a few months! Visualize yourself playing songs out of your favorite piano books instead of the course material.
Visualizing your goals is the missing ingredient to achieving what you want to accomplish. Enjoy the experience, and enjoy your piano lesson visions coming to be!
