I managed to talk my husband into doing a piano lesson date for Valentine’s Day – online! We ended up having an awesome live broadcast and my husband actually learned Love Me Tender in under an hour!

What a great idea! Loved this. Just some feedback. It would probably be a better presentation of you keep the intro a bit more succinct and brief. While I loved the lesson, it was hard to stay with the video during that extended intro. Otherwise, awesome!

I looooove feedback and thank you for the kind comments. Maybe I can do something more fun for an extended intro than just jabber and stall. It’s always recommended to give people a few minutes to arrive and get ready, but for those who are there on time, yes I should have something more valuable going on. Maybe a finger exercise or a cool chord pattern. Do you think that would work?

Although I can play some great songs, I have a problem to use both hands adequately and synchronize. I’m terribly focused on my right hand all the time and lose concentration on my left hand. What would you suggest? How could I overcome this problem?

Learn the right hand and left hand separately, and learn a few measures at at time. Also it helps to learn the right hand so well that you can shift your concentration on your left hand. Repetition is always going to be the key for learning these kinds skills. Good luck,
