While learning piano, you may have some questions.

I am always happy to answer your questions, however, due to very high email requests, it might take me up to 48 hours to answer your questions. Below you will find our most frequently asked questons:

Q: Where do I find the free lessons?

A: That’s an easy one! – Go here: Free Piano Lessons.

Q: Can I learn piano on a keyboard?

A: Absolutely! Pianos and keyboards have the exactly the same note and key placement! Reading music is the same on both instruments! (Organs too!)

Q: Can I learn with these lessons even if I don’t have a piano or keyboard?

A: You know, my answer used to be no, but I have seen many determined students learn the basics from the free lessons by pretending to play on a table! Even though you can’t hear anything, you can still learn counting, rhythm, finger placement, chords, and get a good understanding of some basics. However, I would be lying to you if I told you that you can continue this way. You cannot. You will need a piano or keyboard to be able to continue with the lessons. You see, it’s like driving a car.. you can read about it, understand it and pretend you are doing it, but it’s not the same as driving the real car! So, you will need a piano or keyboard to really learn how to play. ~smile~

Q: What do I learn in the free lessons?

A: These free piano lessons gives you the strong beginning foundation you need to learn how to read music. You will start to recognize notes, the location of keys on the piano, rhythm, the value of notes, chords and more! The fun part is that you will be playing songs with both hands using chords and basic rhythm after you complete the free lessons!

Q: Do you teach how to read sheet music? Note reading?

A: Absolutely! I teach note reading throughout the entire curriculum. The free lessons cover the beginning stages of reading music. In order to be able to read music thoroughly, I recommend that you continue the lessons through my one of my Membership Programs. Reading music is valuable to any pianist whether you play by ear, or play by chords, or even if you like to improvise… learning to read music will balance out your knowlege of music and will open the door to be able to read and play sheet music without spending a lot of time with memorizing. Just sit down, look at the music and play! ~smile~

Q: What happens after I finish the free lessons?

A: After the free lessons you will have had an excellent start toward learning how to play the piano. To continue to build upon your new skills and play your favorite songs, you are invited to become a member of one of our Piano Training Memberships.

Q: What do I learn in your Membership Programs?

A: Everything from reading basic music to advanced techniques! Here is an overview of many of the topics I cover:
Curriculum Topics.

Q: Do you teach how to play by ear?

A: My specialty is in teaching you how to read sheet music. I do not have any lessons specifically for learning to play by ear.

Q: Do you teach how to play chords?

A: I do! I have two membership choices, the PianoPlus Membership with the SuperSupportSystem includes a video series that shows you how to instantly make any chord so you don’t have to memorize them! It also shows you how to use them, how to make patterns with them and how to apply them to music! (PianoPlus Membership Only)

Q: How long will it take me to learn how to play the piano?

A: These lessons are presented in a sequence and format that cuts the learning time in more than half! The level you can reach with these lessons takes about 2 year to complete with traditional weekly lessons with a teacher. I have seen students of all ages complete this curriculum in as little as 6 months! You can progress quicker with these lessons, than with any other training system I know of. How long it will take is really your choice!

Q: How to choose which keyboard or piano to buy?

A: For a piano, I recommend any brand. I would avoid finding one in the paper unless you have someone look at it before you purchase. For a keyboard, I recommend at least 61 keys with touch sensitivity. My preferred brand is Yamaha. Keyboards are easy to purchase if you dont’ have an intrument to practice on:
