In the Mood
In the Mood
This will get your fingers dancing!
The bass part of this song is the 12 bar blues found and taught in Lesson 8, Page 4..
The instructions for this song is for the right hand.
This song will be easier if you can play the left hand (12 bar blues) by memory!
1. The first couple measures are marked up quite a bit, but I felt like you need all the help I can possible give you...
2. The right hand is a pattern of three notes repeated over and over. I marked the first set of "3-note" patterns in yellow. The three notes in this pattern are (E-G-High C). Use the correct fingering. This is repeated 4 times as you can see.
The tricky part is matching the correct right hand notes with the correct left hand notes, which is why I connected them with green lines. If you can play these first two measures, you will find the rest of the song easy.
3. Hint: Every time there is a change with the left hand pattern, there is a change with the right hand pattern.
4. Measures 9 and 10 are only half patterns....you will understand when you start to play it.
5. The chord in the last measure of the right hand are the three notes you were just playing.
