Away in A Manger
Away in A Manger
1. The blue arrows in the beginning reminds you that all B's are flat.....I put a little blue line through all the B's in the song to help you remember.
2. Fingering is important as always, pay close attention to the green fingering in the right hand.
3. The red fingering in the bass staff (left hand) located inside the yellow box will be the fingering that you use throughout the entire song with the left hand.
4. The notes in the yellow box are Low F, C, F. This will be the "pattern" throughout the left hand. Each pattern is a group of 3 notes starting on a Low note (played with your pinky), then stretch your #2 finger over a 5 note span, (count the first note and play the 5th note), and end with your thumb an octave from where your started. Remember an octave is the 8 key interval between two notes of the same name, so if you start on on a Low F, you will end on the next F. (The patterns in this song start on: F, A, G, B flat and in measure #9 is a low low C.) If you have taken all the free lessons, you will have learned all these notes.
5. There is a green divider line midway into the song...you will notice that there are no finger numbers...you are to use the same fingering as indicated in the first half of the song.
