O Holy Night
O Holy Night
1. This one is a little bit challenging....take your time and practice hands separate as always, but do not get in a hurry. This is a sure crowd pleaser.
2. There is a pattern that repeats throughout the song in the left hand. The fingering for that pattern is marked in the first measure...Away in a Manger details this pattern for you.
3. Pay close attention the all the fingering, in particular the red fingering.
4. The first note in the left hand is a low, low C. In measure 16, the note that is sharp is a low, low D.
5. The little green arrow points to a High G.
6. There are two yellow measures indicating there are two chords to learn starting in measure 19 and ending in measure 26. Take your time to learn these two chords and change smoothly between them. The first chord consists of: F-G-B with the fingering 4-3-1. The second chord consists of: E-G-C with the fingering 5-3-1. Your number 3 finger remains on G in both chords.
Changing between the two chords is a very small movement, the trick is to keep your #3 finger on G at all times.
